Jen and Cooper slowly separated themselves from the group and went to the other side of the bar. “Some of these guys are unbelievable! Where do they come up with these lines? Asking questions about abortion — now there’s a sure way down somebody’s pants!” Jen announced, loud enough for Gunther to hear.
“Would you ever go home with a guy you met at a bar?” Cooper asked, just for fun.
“The first night? Before now, my answer would have been one hundred percent ‘no.’ But…I don’t know if I’d want to go through my whole life without ever doing it at least once.”
“It can be exciting,” Cooper mused.
“Are you speaking from experience?” Jen asked, even though she knew the answer.
“I’ve had a few one-nighters — no big deal. Who would you take home from here?”
“I don’t know. I haven’t really thought about it,” Jen leaned back in her chair. “Do you remember the first time you ever did anything more than kiss a guy?”
“Yep. Dave Zevon’s sixth grade boy-girl party. I played ‘two minutes in the closet’ with Jimmy Miller. I let him feel me up.”
“Was there anything to feel?” Jen kidded.
“Enough for a 12-year old who probably got hard when the wind blew. How ‘bout you?”
“I was 15 and on a vacation with my family in Florida. I met this girl who was really into guys and knew exactly how to control them. We kind of hooked up with these guys and I let one of them go up my shirt. I felt like I had gone too far, you know.”
